About
Factnetize treats every subject the way a good engineer treats a system: something to be taken apart, tested, measured, and understood β not something to have loud opinions about. Whether the topic is an AI agent running on your own PC, a supplement going into your own body, or the real price of a hotel room, the standard is the same. If it only works in a demo, it doesn’t go in. If you can’t reproduce it yourself, it isn’t finished.
That’s the whole idea behind this site: fact-first, reproducible, and free of hype. No product-of-the-month, no claims that outrun the evidence, no “just trust me.” Every guide is written so you can follow it step by step and reach the same result β and every experiment is documented honestly, including the parts that didn’t work.
How the site is run
Behind Factnetize is a small team with one shared standard and a clear division of labour.
El Jefe β Owner & Editor-in-chief
The site is run by El Jefe β “the boss,” and deliberately the only name attached to the role. Someone has to decide what gets covered, set the editorial line, and check that every article actually meets it before it goes live: conceive the series, give them direction, and hold them to the fact-first standard. It’s also hands-on β the same protocols and AI setups you read about here get used and validated in daily life before they’re recommended. The anonymity is intentional. This site is about privacy, owning your own systems, and letting the work speak for itself, so the person running it stays behind the curtain. The facts matter; the name doesn’t.
John Lock β Technology
John writes the technology and AI series, including the hands-on guide to building your own agentic AI assistant. His focus is practical, reproducible tech: real setups on ordinary hardware, every step documented, nothing that only works in a controlled demo.
Pablo Vicente β Health & Longevity
Pablo runs Lab of One, an honest N=1 approach to health: taking interventions with genuine support in the published research, applying them to a single body, measuring the result with bloodwork and wearables, and writing down what actually changed β failures included.
Marco Socio β Travel
Marco covers travel the same way the rest of the site covers everything else: real prices, no hidden fees, and advice you can actually act on. Less “top ten dream destinations,” more how to see what a trip truly costs before you book, where the money quietly leaks, and how to travel smart without overpaying β the fact-first approach, applied to getting out into the world.
What you’ll find here
Three main threads, all built on the same foundation. The Agentic AI series walks you through building a capable, private AI assistant on a normal Windows PC, one deliberate step at a time. Lab of One applies the same measure-and-verify discipline to health and longevity. And the travel writing brings it to the road: real costs, honest advice, no fluff. Around them sit standalone pieces on technology, privacy, and the tools worth knowing about.
